About Us

Welcome to Locksmith Chaska! We appreciate your interest in our company and its history. Our company is a medium-sized business with headquarters in the city of Chaska, Minnesota. We started operations in July 2006, and our history is pretty much like a ride on a roller coaster. My wife and I always had a thing for adventure and exploring the unknown. Before founding Locksmith Chaska, we worked and traveled to a lot of places, and were into a broad range of things. But after some time, we decided to stop being dependent on others and work for ourselves, enjoy the freedom that being our own bosses brings. “We want to decide how to use our time” was our motto, and we began our search for the perfect business idea. At the beginning, and after reading a lot of interesting ideas on the internet, we felt overwhelmed. The options were too diverse, and we didn’t know how to process the information, let alone where to start. We took a break and went for a walk looking for inspiration. Our epiphany came when my mother in law called us that night. She forgot her keys inside her car and was stranded on Highwood Drive. We arrived a few minutes later; we brought some tools and managed to unlock the car and retrieve her keys. She apologized and told us that she had called a local locksmith, but after one hour he didn’t show up. We discussed it for a while and decided to try creating a locksmithing company. Our approach? Speed! We envisioned a service capable of bringing fast assistance to clients in dire situations like lockouts, key loss, damaged locks and most of all automotive locksmith emergencies. We opened our first little agency, and we started to receive lots of calls. People walked into our store to buy replacements and ask for advice and help. We were making good money and being useful for our community. It felt good! By 2010 my wife got pregnant, and I decided to start hiring more workers and expand the company.
